Michael P. Schwartz

Michael P. Schwartz's practice of law focuses on business transactions and business planning for entrepreneurs, as well as estate planning for individuals and families and probate administration.

Michael's transactional experience includes the representation of clients in matters including revolving credit facilities, senior and subordinated loan transactions, restructuring, and leveraged buyouts.  Michael=s represents clients with respect to all matters of business transactions from the initial negotiating and drafting of confidentiality agreements and term sheets through the preparation of final documentation and closing the transactions.

Michael also has significant experience in representing business clients with respect to asset sales, the formation and capitalization of holding companies, and business succession planning.  He serves as general counsel to several companies in the South Florida area.

Concerning estate planning, Michael focuses his representation on young professionals and their families in considering their needs and preparing their estate planning documents.

Prior to joining Muller and Lebensburger, Michael was a certified Compliance Officer and in-house counsel for a large South Florida financial institution where he was responsible for developing and implementing the financial institution=s Bank Secrecy Act Policy, as well as monitoring compliance with other Federal Regulations.  

In addition to his work experience, Michael is a husband and father, an avid tennis player and an active member various community organizations within South Florida.  

Michael received his law degree from the University of Miami School of Law, and his B.A. from the University of Florida where he graduated with High Honors.

Michael is the co-author with Charles Muller and Brian Lebensburger of Securities and Business Law for Estate Planners which was presented at the  Forty Third Annual Philip E. Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, January 2009 and has lectured on matters such as the Bank Secrecy Act and its effect on estate planning and fiduciary accounts at financial institutions.


Muller Lebensburger & Schwartz assist clients with legal matters throughout Miami-Dade County, Palm Beach County, Broward County and Monroe County, including Coral Gables, Ft Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Boynton Beach and the surrounding areas.
